Santa Maria bank victim of early morning burglary

The FBI and Santa Maria Police Department are asking the public’s help for information regarding a burglary that occurred at the Community West Bank located at 2615 S. Miller in Santa Maria early Monday morning.

According to a press release from the FBI, at around 5:15 a.m. the suspect was observed on surveillance entering the bank at 2615 S. Miller St. through an opening he made in an adjoining business.

Shortly after, the suspect fled the building through the same opening with a significant amount of money.

No injuries were reported. Officials at Community West Bank are offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or group responsible for this burglary.

The suspect is described as a white male, between 5’8″ and 6′, and approximately 160 pounds. He was wearing a hoodie-sweatshirt, blue jeans and a hat.
