Tires flattenend on various cars in Carpinteria

Vandals targeted multiple vehicles in the last two days, flattening tires on cars parked on several Carpinteria streets.

Ten tires alone on Cravens Lane near Via Real are down to the asphalt. All are on the left side of the vehicles parked along the curb. They are next to a condominium complex.

Residents in the area also say cars on two other streets nearby have similar vandalism. Possibly a total of 30 tires are damaged according to the witnesses, and victims.

Some vehicle owners have already gone to a nearby gas station for repairs. But many cars are still stranded.

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department is doing the investigation and will have a full report later today.
