New home sought for abandoned horses
San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s deputies with the Rural Crime Unit seized two horses left abandoned by their owner months ago.
Authorities believe the horses were left to fend for themselves and lived off grazing grass and very little water.
Deputies made the discovery on Thursday, October 13 at a location that is not revealed in their facebook post.
The horses are being cared for at Animal Services.
The case has been turned over to the San Luis Obispo County District Attorney’s Office for filing. Investigators have not identified who owned the horses and abandoned them.
If you would like to adopt these horses or know someone who would, contact Animal Services.
