Police request public’s help to identify Camarillo robbery suspect

Authorities are searching for a thief out of Camarillo and are requesting the public’s help to identify the woman accused of stealing pharmaceutical drugs from a local grocery store.

The incident occurred at the Ralphs in the 600 block of Las Posas Road in the city of Camarillo back in April 2016. Investigators say the woman, described to be between 30-40 years old, entered Ralphs just before 4 p.m.

Police released a surveillance video (watch below) in which the woman is seen loitering around the store for several minutes before handing a note to the clerk.

Police say the note not only demanded Xanax and Oxycodone prescription medications, but also warned the clerk that people would be shot if anyone intervened. No weapon was seen during the robbery.

A second surveillance video clip picks up after the woman runs across the store’s parking lot following the robbery, but no car was ever seen. The suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of Xanax.
