Pismo Beach Police Investigating Armed Robbery at Spyglass Inn

PISMO BEACH, Calif. – Pismo Beach Police are searching for a man who robbed the Spyglass Inn at gun point in Pismo Beach.

Officials say it happened just before 10:30 Thursday night when a man went into the lobby of the inn and demanded cash.

They say the suspect, described as a white man, with bright blue eyes demanded cash from the inn’s clerk as he pointed a gun at her.

“He verbalized a request for cash, had the handgun pointed at her, she gave him the cash and then he left,” says Brian Cox, Detective Sargent Pismo Beach Police.

Police say he attempted to hide his identity by wearing a white surgical mask and had a black hoodie pulled over the top of his head.

The suspect is described as a white man, between 20-25 year old, between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall, 180-200 pounds, wearing a hoodie with an emblem on the upper left chest and a large logo on the back.

People staying at the hotel say it’s a quiet place.

“There’s a lot of kids playing in the pool up to 10 o’clock, I’ve noticed a lot of seniors here, everyone seems friendly,” says Tish Davis.

Police say they working with Crime Stoppers and are offering up to $1,000 for the arrest and conviction of the suspect.
