Minor Morning Earthquake Felt in the Santa Ynez Valley

Wine bottles might have been rattling in the racks early Sunday morning when a minor earthquake rolled through the Santa Ynez Valley.

It was felt in Solvang, Santa Ynez and Buellton. Some residents contacted NewsChannel 3 about the small, quick quake.

The preliminary magnitude was 3.4. It has been downgraded to 3.1.

The quake was reported at 2:16 a.m. about five miles south-southeast of Solvang with a depth of seven miles.

No damage or injuries were reported to fire or law enforcement.
