Lake Nacimiento Drowning Victim Identified as Man From Kings County

The San Luis Obispo County Coroner’s Office identified the man whose body was recovered from Lake Nacimiento on Sunday as 29-year-old Oscar Edwardo Palomares-Osoria of Corcoran, California.

The SLO County Sheriff’s Department says witnesses told investigators they heard Palomares-Osoria calling out for help while swimming in the lake near the Sandy Point campground before going underwater.

Investigators do not suspect foul play at this time, but an autopsy will determine the manner and cause of death.

San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a drowning at Lake Nacimiento.

Officers said the call came in around noon on Sunday.

The drowning victim has only been described as a man who was swimming in lake.
