Helena Avenue Bakery Opens in Funk Zone with Sweet Offerings and Light Lunches

Fresh baked goods are now coming out of the new Helena Avenue Bakery in the Santa Barbara Funk Zone.

The site has hand crafted breads, pastries, cookies, and pies.
There’s also a selection of sandwiches for a quick bite or a picnic at the beach.

The new bakery is near the corner of Yanonali and Helena streets in a shared space with the Santa Barbara Wine Collective. It’s also walking distance from the Lark and Lucky Penny restaurants and will be providing fresh baked goods for guests dining there.

The Helena Bakery offers casual meals from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The first customers today were tasting double chocolate, peanut butter brittle, chocolate chip and oatmeal blueberry cookies.

To go picnic meals includes couscous salad, cold fried chicken along with ham and house made butter sandwiches. The menu also has potato salad, Brussel sprouts Caesar salad and many other grab and go items.

The bakery interior is framed with clear windows where customers can see the active operation while they order and eat.
