WATCH KCOY 12: Former Lompoc Mayor John Linn Announces He’ll Run Again

LOMPOC, Calif. – Former Lompoc Mayor John Linn has announced he will be running again.

“I am John Linn and I am running for Mayor of the City of Lompoc,” says John Linn.

In an intimate gathering on Friday morning Linn and his supporters stood together to discuss what he plans to do if he becomes mayor again.

“Utility costs must be controlled and utility infrastructure must be improved, our sports fields and parks must be renovated for the safety of our children,” says Linn.

He served two terms before current Mayor, Bob Lingl, unseated him in 2014.

His supporters say they are happy he is running again. “I think he has a lot of same ideas as the residents of Lompoc do and so I think he will be a great candidate because his vision is in line for what Lompoc wants for itself, says Christopher King.

Lompoc Mayor Bob Lingl weighed in, “John Linn is the same person he was 2 years ago when he lost a leopard does not change his stripes so John Linn if elected will still be the bully he was.”

Mayor Lingl says Linn’s announcement comes as no surprise. “He has people following me taking pictures and videos every move I make every word I say so I am assuming he will be using this these actions and words in his campaign he will be running,” says Mayor Lingl.

When asked if he will run again, he says he has plans to. Although, he has not made a formal announcement yet, he will do so in the near future.

So far, Linn is the only person to announce his canidacy. He says he plans to hold sessions with local residents to discuss issues affecting the community.”
