Theft Investigation Underway at Coast Village Road Jewelry Store

Santa Barbara Police are investigating a grand theft incident that happened this afternoon at a jewelry store.

The theft occurred around 4:00 p.m. at Daniel Gibbings on 1143 Coast Village Road.

According to police scanner radio, a couple walked into the jewelry store and stole around $150,000 worth of jewelry.

Investigators was on scene interviewing a store clerk.

“We’re actively investigating this theft and hopefully we will be seeking the public’s assistance next week and be able to release images of the suspects,” said Lieutenant Kenneth Kushner, from the Santa Barbara Police Department.

However, the clerk declined to talk to our reporter fearing it would interfere with the investigation.
