A 37-year-old Oxnard man is recovering at Ventura County Medical Center after being shot Wednesday morning.
He is listed in critical but stable condition.
Police says officers responded to 1521 Morris Street just before 11 a.m. after receiving several reports of shots fired in the area.
When they arrived to the scene, the officers discovered the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The identity of the victim was not released.
Police are trying to determine a motive for the shooting but are not releasing any other information related to this incident at this time.
