Heroin Dealer Arrested in Camarillo for Manslaughter

Police arrested 42-year-old Floyd Johnson in his Camarillo home on Tuesday in connection with the death of an Oxnard man on January 21st.

Investigators say Oxnard police officers found 43-year-old Darren Solis inside a business in the 1600 block of West Gonzales Road unresponsive. Despite life-saving efforts, Solis died on scene from an apparent heroin overdose.

Through the investigation, Johnson was identified as a probable source of Solis’ heroin, and on March 29, the Ventura County District Attorney filed a criminal complaint charging Johnson with manslaughter.

Johnson was booked into Ventura County Main Jail with a bail set at $50,000.
