Oxnard Police Investigate Homicide at Lemonwood Park

The Oxnard Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred at about 6:25 a.m. Thursday.

Officers were called out to Lemonwood Park after a body of a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, was discovered.

Oxnard Fire Department personnel declared the man dead at the scene.

The victim’s name is withheld pending notification to a next of kin.

Investigators need help identifying a suspect, but they believe the person responsible for this crime was possibly in his 20’s.

This is Oxnard’s seventh homicide of the year.
