Swarm Of Small Quakes Rattle Some Nerves
A swarm of earthquakes didn’t register with everyone, but some people said they felt something out of the ordinary.
The U.S. Geological Survey detected more than more than 80 small quakes on Wednesday and Thursday. The largest was a 2.8 around 6:33 a.m.
Rosa Tello said they are a reminder of the Northridge quake that heavily damaged her hometown of Fillmore, too. She recalled people coming out of a hotel without any clothes on. And when she thought the 94 aftershocks were over, she said they shook the ground again and again.
Fillmore Fire Chief Rigo Landeros said that is why they train to respond the earthquakes.
He said the swarm serves as reminder to have 72 hours worth of water, food, medications. He also said you should have an emergency contact.
