Vehicle Into Oxnard’s Topper’s Pizza

Eight people were injured after a vehicle collided into a Topper’s Pizza restaurant in Oxnard, Thursday.

It happened on 100 E Gonzales Road just after 4:30 p.m.. when the driver of the vehicle allegedly suffered a medical emergency and lost control.

The driver, 47-year-old Scott Perry, traveling eastbound on Gonzales Avenue with his wife and son, when he lost consciousness and left the road. Officials say he went over train tracks, through a strand of brush and into the side of the building.

Seven major injuries and 1 immediate injury were reported. Four patients–all Topper’s patrons–were transported to Saint John’s Regional Medical Center.

Among those injured were 3 adults and one child, who were treated scene.
