Counterprotest Supports El Bajio Taqueria
Members of Santa Barbara’s Eastside community rallied around a business owner on Tuesday night.
They said Santos Guzman has been harassed for supporting the controversial Milpas Business Improvement District.
They gathered for dinner to support the El Bajio Taqueria.
They wanted to show their support after a “Poder” protest Sunday afternoon put on by critics of the improvement district. Poder members are concerned that plans have not been inclusive and may push out other ways of life.
Guzman said he wants to make his community better by improving business.
