“Fanistons” Welcome Jennifer Aniston to SBIFF
Self-titled “Fanistons” of Jennifer Aniston lined up to see her arrive at the Arlington Theatre in Santa Barbara on Friday night.
The star of the film “Cake” stepped out of a black Cadillac with her fiance and walked straight to the crowd.
Rather than a plunging neckline of the outfit she wore to a recent award show, Aniston arrived in a black sleeveless blouse and bell bottoms by designer Tom Ford.
While the star answered two questions asked by U.S. and international broadcasters, fans started singing the theme to the TV show “Friends.”
She blew her fans a kiss before posing for photographers. They called out her name and as she looked this way and that the flashes looked like fireworks beneath the Arlington marquee.
Once inside, she talked about her film career, which began with many independent movies.
She received the Montectio Award for her style and contribution to cinema.
Aniston said she used to have a home in Santa Barbara and has vacationed here for the past 25 years.
The New England Patriots fan said she will be watching the Super Bowl on Sunday as well as the commercials.
People leaving the theatre said they enjoyed listening to her talk about her career.
The event was sold out.
