SLO Transit Fights The Flu One Pump At A Time

The San Luis Obispo Transit system will expand its hand sanitizer project to all public transportation vehicles.

The hand sanitizers were installed in response to the latest cold and flu season. Flu season in the United States has begun- and about half the country is experiencing high levels of flu activity, according to the most recent FluView report.

The sanitizer dispensaries are located just past the fareboxes, so passengers can conveniently use them as they get on the bus.

The Transit Division began installing hand sanitizers on a third of all its vehicles back in September.
