Oxnard Deadly Shooting, No Arrests Made

Oxnard police are investigating a deadly shooting that happened early Wednesday morning on the 5200 block of Perkins Road.

At approximately 5:30 a.m., Oxnard police officers located a 24-year-old man inside a vehicle. Emergency crews were unable to save the victim and he died at the scene from his injuries.

Investigators from the Oxnard Police Department Homicide and Violent Crimes Unit shut down Perkins Road between Pleasant Valley Road and Clara Street. It’s believed this was not gang related or an act of random violence.

The identity of the man has not been released.

There have been no suspect or suspects arrested.
