CIF Player of the Year Awards Announced in Football
The awards keep coming for Paso Robles and Nipomo high school football. The two teams won CIF titles this year and now they get top honors in their respective divisions.
Paso Robles’ Bailey Gaither was named Offensive Player of the Year while his teammate Josh Oliver earned Defensive Player of the Year in the CIF Northern Division. Rich Schimke was named Head Coach of the Year as the Bearcats won the CIF championship.
In the CIF Northwest Division Nipomo’s Peyton Witcher was honored as the Defensive Player of the Year and Russ Edwards was named Head Coach of the Year as the Titans won the school’s first-ever CIF crown in any sport.
