No Local Measles Cases Linked To Disney Visits
At least a dozen Disneyland visitors in California are recovering from the measles and more theme park visitors who live in Colorado and Utah were diagnosed with measles too.
They all visited Disneyland and/or California Adventure between Dec. 15 and Dec. 20.
Dr. Takashi Wada, director of public health in Santa Barbara County, said a majority of them were not vaccinated.
Wada said there were no reports of measles cases in the county linked to theme park visits. But he said it is a highly contagious disease that can lead to pneumonia.
Symptoms include a rash, coughing, sneezing and red eyes and nose.
