Domestic Violence Dispute Leads to Death of Baby in Santa Maria
Santa Maria Police Department are investigating a domestic violence issue that led to the loss of a pregnant woman’s child.
Police say the physical altercation happened in Santa Maria on August 28, 2014 between a suspect and a victim, whose names are not being released at the moment.
The victim was in the late stages of her pregnancy during this incident. Hours after the fight, she was transported to Marian Regional ER and the child was born deceased.
The Santa Maria Police Department has been communicating with the Santa Barbara County District Attorney’s Office for consideration of charges being filed against the suspect.
