Ski Resorts Promote National Safety Month

Safety week has turned into National Safety Month at ski areas across the country.

Members of the National Ski Area Association kicked off the event with the help of Mammoth’s mascot, Woolly.

Woolly joined ski instructors on the slopes and in the village to promote ski and snowboard safety.

Mammoth instructors and hosts recommend skiers and snowboarders wear helmets and slow down as they approach chairlifts.

Resorts across the country are also vying for awards for the ways they promote avalanche safety.
