Santa Maria Police Arrest Carjacking Suspect
Santa Maria police arrested Michael Angelo Jordan Monday night some time between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. in the 1800 block of North Broadway near the Vallarta Supermarket.
Residents recognized him and called the police. Jordan was arrested without incident.
A second suspect, Jessica Garcia, has already been charged for carjacking.
Investigators said Garcia and Jordan allegedly confronted a man in the area of Western Avenue and W. Williams Street on January 1st.
Garcia, 20, allegedly brandished a handgun while Jordan stood nearby, police said.
