Oxnard Man Jailed for Stealing Car
Oxnard police have arrested a man they say stole a car and led cops on a high-speed chase.
Carlos Ramirez allegedly stole a pick-up truck over the weekend, police said.
The victim spotted Ramirez driving the car and called police. Ramirez refused to stop. That led to a high-speed chase through downtown Oxnard.
Ramirez then stopped the car abruptly, got out and continued on foot. Police found him, hiding in the backyard of a home onSouth D Street.
No one was hurt during the chase.
The truck is now back with its owner.
