Cuesta College Measure L Ahead of Schedule
SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – Plans put in place before elections are moving forward at Cuesta College. Terry Reece, the director of facilities, services, planning, and projects, said, “It’s moving forward very well. A lot of the plans we put into place prior to elections are moving forward.”
Reece said “so far everything is on plan or ahead of time.”
People will begin to see physical construction in May on the modular buildings, and new construction will begin at the end of the year.
Tomorrow the board of trustees will review and approve contracts from architects. They are also reviewing contracts with construction managers, needed to move forward with the projects.
The bond measure is $275 million, voters approved it in November of 2014.
Cuesta College officials say they’ll put a “Thank you to the Voters,” sign on both campus entrances.
