Bishop Diego Takes Top Honors on All-City Team
Presidiosports.com announced their All-City team in Santa Barbara for high school football and Bishop Diego swept the top honors at the Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table.
Abel Gonzalez was named Offensive Player of the Year while Isaac Salcedo and Matt Shotwell were named Co-Defensive Players of the Year. All three players helped the Cardinals go 10-2 on the season and advance to the CIF Quarterfinals.
As for the weekly awards, Santa Barbara junior girls basketball star Amber Melgoza and San Marcos junior boys basketball player Scott Everman were named the Athlete of the Week.
