Parade Float Viewing in Pasadena

Tournament of Roses Parade officials say nearly 100,000 people will come out to view the floats for its three day post parade viewing.

Around 40 Rose Parade floats are parked around Sierra Madre Blvd. in Pasadena, including the Cal Poly Universities float.

After tolling down Colorado Blvd. 5.5 miles alongside side equestrian acts, marching bands, and dancers, 37 floats are parked for in-person viewing.

Cal Poly San Luis Obispo freshman Sara Schulte said, “It was more impressive in person than on TV. “

Schulte came to Pasadena with her family to see the floats, “Especially the Cal Poly one.”

Students spent all year working on the cal poly float.

Michele Califano, a class of 1980 Cal Poly graduate said, “I know this the award is very prestigious for them.”

“It’s incredibly beautiful, I think think it’s one of the nicest floats I’ve seen put out by Poly universities.”
