Newborns Arrive On First Day Of 2015
A baby girl born to an Oxnard couple in Ventura may have been the closest baby born after midnight, but there are plenty of other babies to share her birthday.
A baby boy named A’aser was one of the first babies born at Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara.
A’aser’s father, Ahmed Al-Ali. said it was his and his wife’s first child. He thanked the ambulance driver, the nurses, and everyone who helped make his wife and baby comfortable.
The baby boy born at 8:36 a.m. was far from alone in the maternity ward.
A couple hours later, another boy was born. Aldo weighed-in at 8-pound, 14-ounce, and 20′- 1/4″. Aldo’s father said he was “orgulloso,” or proud.
A baby girl was born in the afternoon.
When their parents ring in the next new year, these New Year’s Day babies will be turning 1.
