Ventura Train Accident Leaves One Dead
A train accident in Ventura killed one man Monday evening. Ventura City Fire crews responded to the area of California Street and Harbor Boulevard just after 7:09 p.m.
Crews found a stopped Amtrak train blocking traffic. Underneath the train they found an adult victim who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Witnesses say the man was walking along the tracks.
Traffic at California Street and Harbor Boulevard were blocked for a minimum of two hours while authorities finish their investigation.
No one else was hurt in the accident.
