Lompoc Soldier Surprises Family During Photo Session

A U.S. soldier from Lompoc had quite the surprise to give to his family during a photo session. It was all planned out by him and his wife.

As the family prepared to have their picture taken in a Lompoc photo studio, the twice deployed soldier sneaked up behind everyone. After the camera flash stopped, it only took a few seconds for the unsuspecting family members to realize the young soldier had come home for the holidays.

Robert Smith, a Cabrillo High School graduate, was able to get permission from his unit overseas to briefly come home.
