Hundreds Line Up To See ‘The Interview’
The president of Metropolitan Theatres hired extra security at The Arlington Theatre in Santa Barbara on Christmas Day for the opening of the “The Interview.”
David Corwin said he didn’t expect such a big turnout.
About 400 people lined up to get in to the 10:45 p.m. showing and more arrived just as the film began.
The Arlington is just one of the independent theaters that took the bold step of showing the film following the hacking and threats aimed at Sony.
People getting popcorn said they wanted to show their support of free speech and Hollywood movie-making.
