Los Alamos Crash Sends Child to Hospital

A Tuesday morning single vehicle accident near Los Alamos injured four people including a child who had to be transported to the hospital.

The accident happened at about 9:30 a.m. on Highway 101 at Palmer Road.

Capt. David Sadecki with the Santa Barbara County Fire Department said the vehicle “left the roadway for unknown reasons into the center divider and actually hit a concrete culvert.”

Three adults suffered minor injuries and one child suffered moderate injuries according to Capt. Sadecki.

The California Highway Patrol and an American Medical Response team responded to the scene as well.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
