Bizarre Santa Barbara Car Accident Injures One Person
In one of the strangest car accidents to happen in Santa Barbara, a white pickup truck slammed into the back of another parked pickup, lifting it above the culprit vehicle. See photo.
The accident happened on the 300 block Yanonali Street near Garden Street just before 4 p.m. Monday.
Witnesses saw the driver extricate himself out of wreckage and walk around the vehicles before an ambulance took him to the hospital in a neck brace.
Santa Barbara Police officers found beer cans in the wreckage. The driver is suspected of driving under the influence.
The owner of the damaged Toyota Tacoma is a landscaper who did not hear the crash. He said he was shocked when he saw his car. He said it appears to be totaled.
