Lompoc Appoints 5th City Council Member

James Mosby has been sworn in as the newest member of the Lompoc City Council at a special meeting held on Saturday morning.

12 candidates were trying to fill a vacant council seat created by newly elected Lompoc Mayor, Bob Lingl.

After a round of voting and public hearings, Lompoc City Council appointed the Santa Barbara County Parks Commissioner in a 3-1 vote.

Mosby will serve a two-year term on the council until the next election in 2016.
