Voluntary Evacuation Order in Place for Camarillo Springs Neighborhood

A voluntary evacuation order went into effect Tuesday at 3 p.m. for some residents in Ventura County that may be threatened by debris flow.

The National Weather Service is forecasting rain Tuesday Night through Wednesday morning that may reach a quarter of an inch per hour intensity.

The county sheriff’s office has released this order for all homes in the San Como area, parts of Gitana, Etamo, portions of Irina and parts of Camarillo Springs.

The evacuation is set to last through Wednesday.

The following road closures are in place:

Terrace Avenue between Pleasant Valley Road and Berkshire Street in Oxnard

Potrero Road between Cal State Channel Islands (Oxnard Street) and Rancho Dos Vientos in unincorporated Camarillo

Pacific Coast Highway between Las Posas Road and Yerba Buena in Ventura County.
