Traffic Delays to Be Expected in San Luis Obispo
From December 2014 through March of 2015 people in San Luis Obispo should expect some traffic due to several construction projects near the South city limits.
The majority of the projects are on Los Osos Valley Road, Calle Joaquin and South Higuera Streets.
The projects include pipeline replacement, asphalt base repairs, sewer utility work and the L.O.V.R. Interchange widening at Hwy 101.
Some changes to the L.O.V.R. traffic relief project including expediting construction for the 101 north on-ramp. City officials said after receiving several complaints about on-ramp traffic they are moving forward with speeding up the on ramp construction.
Jossue Mariscal, a commuter, said “It’s going to be good because I have noticed around 5 o’clock there is a lot of traffic and it’s been bumper to bumper.”
Traffic may be affected in these areas due to lane closures, flagging and delays. Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes during this time.
