Santa Maria Police Search For Shooting Suspects
Santa Maria Police are investigating a shooting in the 600 block of West Cypress Street this morning. Police say they responded to 911 calls of gunshots in the area last night.
When officers arrived they found an adult male with a gunshot wound to the upper body lying in an alleyway off the street. He was taken to Marian Regional Medical Center where he is being treated and expected to survive from his gunshot wound.
“We’re still in the preliminary stages of the investigation. We’re still questioning witnesses and checking the area for possible suspects,” said Santa Maria Police Sgt. Jesus Valle..
No arrests have been made.
