Pacific Coast Highway Back Open Thursday Night
The Pacific Coast Highway is back open Thursday night.
Cal Trans confirmed to NewsChannel 3 that the north and southbound sides of Highway 1 from Las Posas Road to Yerba Buena Road were re-opened just before six Thursday evening.
This nine-mile stretch of the highway was shut down on Sunday after heavy rain caused mud and debris to flow down the hill and block the highway.
Since the debris flow, crews have been working to clear the several feet of mud piled up along the highway.
Several cars were trapped in the initial debris flow but no one was hurt.
