Paso Robles Wins Semifinal Thriller Over Arroyo Grande

Tied at 21 with under a minute to play, Justin Davis threw a quick hitter to senior Bailey Gaither and the San Jose State-bound receiver did the rest. He hurdled one defender and outraced a few more on his way to highlight-reel 62-yard game-winning touchdown with just 42 seconds to play as Paso Robles won at Arroyo Grande 28-21 in a CIF Southern Section Northern Division semifinal.

The Bearcats will host Newbury Park in Friday’s CIF championship game as the Panthers edged Atascadero 49-48.

Paso Robles is now 12-1 on the year and they survived three interceptions that were returned for touchdowns by Arroyo Grande which accounted for all of the Eagles points.
