Holiday Events Choose Similar Pirate Theme

Pirates are invading the Channel Islands Harbor in Oxnard this holiday season.

A Buccaneer’s Holiday is the theme of the 49th annual Parade of Lights , and Yo Ho Ho, A Pirate’s Christmas has taken the stage at the Elite Theatre. The play is about a little girl named Eve who saves Christmas with the help of pirates who landed on the North Pole instead of Treasure Island.

The free parade starts at 7 p.m. on December 13.

The Elite Theatre’s performance of “Yo Ho Ho, A Pirate’s Christmas” runs Fridays, and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. until Christmas. The community theater is located at Fisherman’s Wharf on Victoria Avenue in the former Maritime Museum
