Vehicle Rollover on Santa Barbara Sidewalk
Santa Barbara City Fire and Santa Barbara Police responded to a vehicle rollover on the 3700 block of State Street.
The call came in shortly after 12:30 p.m. Wednesday. Two vehicles were involved.
A white pick-up truck landed on its side on the sidewalk with an elderly male driver trapped inside. Firefighters managed to get the driver out of the car safely using the Jaws of Life.
Investigators say the white pick-up truck driver failed to yield on a left turn and that’s when the accident occurred.
The driver of the truck suffered minor injuries to the head and was transported to Cottage Hospital.
The condition of the second driver involved is unknown at this time but she seemed distraught according to sources.
