Rose Dedicated to Local Organ Donor
Marian Regional Medical Center, CEO, Chuck Cova and Santa Barbara County resident Lori Williamson, dedicated two roses to organ donors and recipients.
Over 22,000 people in California are waiting for organ and tissue donations.
After suffering an aneurysm in 2011, Williamson’s son Michael, donated his heart, liver and tissue, saving several lives.
These roses will be featured on the Donate Life float in the 126th annual Tournament of Roses Parade.
“This is about celebrating donors and the donations that are made through ultimate genorosity,” says Cova.
This year’s Donate Life float theme is “The Never-Ending Story.”
