Rape Suspect Arrested In San Luis Obispo Motel 6

A rape suspect was arrested at the Motel 6 in San Luis Obispo after the victim reported the crime to the Pismo Beach Police Department.

The victim told police that the rape happened at The Tides Motel on Nov. 18 in Pismo Beach. She did not know the suspect but did give a detailed description of him and his clothing.

During the investigation, the suspect was identified and tracked to the Motel 6. He is not being identified at this time, but police investigators said he checked into the motel on Calle Joaquin on Nov. 21.

He was arrested and his room and vehicle were searched after a search warrant was served. Key evidence in the sexual assault and suspected stolen property was found from unrelated crimes.

The man was arrested on charges of rape by force and terrorist threats.
