Man Robs Ventura Bank and Gets Away

Ventura Police and the FBI are investigating a bank robbery Monday. The robbery happened at the Chase Bank on 7730 Telegraph Road around 1:45 p.m.

Once officers arrived at the bank the suspect already fled the area. A Witness said they saw the suspect leave on a beach-cruiser style bicycle.

During the investigation, officers learned the suspect entered the bank and approached the counter. He then handed the clerk a note stating he was armed with a gun and demanded the clerk give him money.

No weapon was seen. The clerk gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money, and he fled the bank.

Authorities describe the man as Hispanic, in his mid-30’s, 5’6-5’8 tall and weighs 150-180 pounds with a mustache
