Habitat For Humanity Dedicates New Housing Site

Habitat for Humanity held a dedication ceremony for the newest affordable homes Tuesday.

The community is located at 822 East Canon Perdido Street. The 12 townhouses will provide affordable home ownership opportunities for low-income families.

The families who will soon move in, helped build the homes. The new community will have 44 people, including 22 children.

“We’re so thankful for the Habit for Humanity and all the people who volunteer, put time and money and labor into these units and we’re just really humbled by the opportunity to be able to live in one,” said Lars Linton, a new Habitat for Humanity Family.

The development is Habitat for Humanity’s third and largest affordable housing site in Santa Barbara.
