Job and Wage Growth Not Always What They Seem
Nine months of job growth may be worth bragging about but workers are not impressed with the 3 cents an hour wage increase.
The Labor Department released October numbers that reflect hiring in low wage jobs such as retail, restaurants and hospitality.
Peter Rupert , Ph.D., the chair of the Economics Department at UCSB said 3 cents an hour growth adds up.
Rupert said it has been slow recovery from the great recession but the numbers are a sign that the economy is moving ahead.
