42ND ANNUAL NOJOQUI FALLS FUN RUN CAR SHOW | SOLVANG | 8 AM-3PM | FREE
This Sunday is the 42nd Annual Nojoqui Falls Fun Run and Car Show in Solvang. The event starts at 8 a.m., and will include the run, classic cars, street rods, antique motorcycles and fun activities for the family. The event supports the Make-A-Wish Foundation
HALLOWEEN HAUNTED HOUSE AND STREET FEST | SOLVANG | 6-9 PM | $8-$10
The city of Solvang and the city of Buellton are hosting the 21st annual Halloween haunted house. Along with the haunted house, there will be food, popcorn, churros, and the festive wine and beer garden. The haunted will be held in front of the Solvang Festival Theater at 420 2nd Street. The event will runs through Halloween night from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The haunted house entry fee for kids 13 and under is $8 and $10 for 14 and over.
MONARCH BUTTERFLY GROVE OPENING | PISMO BEACH | SAT. | 10:30 AM -2:30PM
Pismo State Beach Monarch Butterfly Grove welcomes back the Monarch butterflies. Opening Day celebration will be Saturday with festivities taking place between 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. The event will open with remarks from State Park officials, and follow with fun activities for the whole family. It will be staffed daily through February 2015
DIA DE LOS MUERTOS FAMILY FESTIVAL | SANTA MARIA | SUN. | 12-5PM | FREE
Dia De Los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, will be celebrated at the Veterans Memorial Community Center in Santa Maria Sunday. The event is free to the public and includes youth activities, dance performances, live music, food and altar displays.
