New Noise Conference and Festival Draws Big Crowds Over Five Days

The New Noise Conference and Festival wrapped up Sunday with a large high energy street party in the Funk Zone, followed the featured finale with Dishwalla at the SOHO nightclub.

The five day event featured 50 bands in smaller venues throughout the city. Sunday was a full day block party that drew hundreds for each band on the main stage just a block from the ocean.

Many of the bands that attended are rising acts hoping to head into the main stream music scene. Some came in from Portland, Seattle, and Los Angeles.

The conference featured seminars on the music industry, operating the business of a band, and promotions. Many top music leaders sat on the panels.
