Goleta Plans to Curb Isla Vista Halloween Parking

Isla Vista Halloween events don’t just impact the unincorporated area where students live, they impacts the nearby city of Goleta too.

At a community meeting Thursday night, Goleta’s public safety director Vyto Adomiatis rolled out a new plan to curb Halloween problems such as parking.

Goleta residents will get parking permits in the mail.

Signs will be posted warning out-of-towners that cars without permits will be towed.

University students have also launched a “keep it local, keep it safe,” campaign.

They are already sending out mass emails.
